Welcome

Welcome to my little online world, Courage Is Not An Option.

The reason for my choice of name is quite simple – in this day and age, courage is NOT an option. To make changes in this world you have to be bold and for want of a better word – courageous. Luckily for me, confidence is something I’ve never lacked, and I’m hoping by publicly writing down my strong opinions, I’ll open up the door for other people to stand up for what they believe in too.

If you’ve got something you think I may be interested in, please don’t hesitate to give me a shout! laurenmariedudley@yahoo.co.uk

I’m definitely going to check out the rest of your blog. I need more motivation to stand up for myself in my life. Especially with my current situations. Happy blogging!

I have to say that the way you write posts comes across offensive. I feel the way the posts are written doesn’t teach anyone about the importance of feminist issues when it just seems like you’re shouting at them and not teaching them. Not only that, your posts never talk about anything particularly new in the world of feminism. You talk about issues that people now understand and go along with. You are not brave or daring these posts and I find them boring to read. Have a look on other pages to find out different issues of feminism.

Hi Clara, thanks for the reply in regards to my posts.

I’d like to ask how you find my posts offensive and whom I am offending? I, personally, feel like I do teach people about my beliefs on feminism. I also think that feminism may be different to each ‘feminist’ as we all have different reasons why we choose to be feminists. I come from a background/area where these issues are certainly not ‘understood’ and I am still challenged on a day basis and that is why I explore them in my blog.
However, as a fellow ‘feminist,’ I do not understand the need for your rudeness and unconstructive criticism. Saying my posts are ‘boring’ is not going to help me improve my blogs.

Once again, I thank you for your reply and I look forward to hearing from you again soon.
      Stay sassy, Lauren.
